Flowers In The Summer
Written by Giselle Greenberg copyright 2018
Flowers in the summer,
Oh in the summer,
In the summer,
Oh in the summer...
Autumn breezes carry seeds
with life inside...
Little sprouts in shelters from the
coming frost must hide,
‘Tis nature’s rule, they will abide…
Silver silence has its reign,
so cold and slow...
Those above could not see all the labor
done below; seeds through Winter wait
beneath the snow...
Vernal showers soothe the land,
And end the cold…
Sprouts rejoice, and bursting from the ground
are blithe and bold, they show that new
Springs from the old
Slowly sprouts turn strong and stout,
then buds are grown…
In Summer’s prime, the petals with the best colors
are shown, then to be gone,
How time has flown
Flowers in the summer,
Oh in the summer,
In the summer,
Oh in the summer...
